Description
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 18 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Azure, a bend between two flashes bendwise, Argent.  Attached below and to the sides of the shield is a Silver scroll inscribed POWER TO STRIKE in Blue letters.

Symbolism
The Infantry color is blue.  In the blue of the Infantry arm, the functions of the unit are allegorically symbolized by the silver bend representing a road protected by double strands of barbed wire on each side, which is used by the Infantry as a defensive measure and being one of the obstacles to overcome in the offensive attack.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 370th Infantry Regiment on 11 December 1942.  It was redesignated for the 370th Infantry Battalion on 30 August 1949.  The insignia was redesignated for the 370th Armored Infantry Battalion on 25 October 1951.
